Euthanasia

Our compassionate euthanasia procedure ensures your pet's comfort and dignity.

Many situations can make euthanasia the best choice for your pet's well-being and quality of life. This may be due to a terminal illness, loss of autonomy, a serious accident, or behaviours that endanger your family's safety. Whatever the circumstances, we're here to support you through this difficult time.

How does euthanasia work? Can I be present?

Euthanasia is performed in a calm and painless setting. We’ll give you time to say goodbye to your cherished companion, and if you wish, you can be by their side during the procedure. The euthanasia agent is administered intravenously, which puts the animal into a deep sleep before gently stopping the heartbeat.

Do you have any advice to help with the grieving process?

We recommend discussing the decision with all family members, including children. Take time to explain the reasons, focusing on well-being and the end of suffering. Talk openly about death, and give everyone an opportunity to express their feelings. Before adopting a new pet, it’s best to wait a few weeks or months to allow time for proper grieving.
