Dr. St-Pierre worked with belugas and birds of prey when she was a student at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal. She completed internships at the Toronto Zoo before working with small animals and exotic animals. She took many advanced courses at Lifelearn at the University of Guelph in veterinary ultrasound, veterinary endoscopy, veterinary radiology, histopathology and veterinary pathology, pocket pets and exotic animals, veterinary orthopedics, and laser surgeries. She also pursued weeks of study in Toronto on veterinary emergency medicine, veterinary orthopedic surgeries, and internal medicine.
She became interested in medical methods to help animals by reducing medication or selecting necessary medications for treatment, as well as in complementary modalities like physiotherapy. She is certified in veterinary musculoskeletal manipulation with the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association and the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association, and in acupuncture with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.
She has been practicing at the Animo-Vet Veterinary Hospital since 2013. She has been part of the team for all these years and loves working with her human and animal colleagues! The clients and their pets are also phenomenal and much appreciated.
