When should I seek behavioural advice?

It’s normal to first try to manage pet behavioural issues on your own. However, don’t hesitate to consult a professional if the problem persists or if new, abnormal behaviours appear. Additionally, some behaviours may indicate an underlying health problem, making consultation important.

What behaviours might require a behavioural consultation?

  • Signs of aggression (toward people, animals)
  • Anxiety (separation, transport, hiding, excessive licking, whining)
  • Phobias (fireworks, thunderstorms, loud noises)
  • Hyperactivity or overreactions
  • Uncleanliness or urine marking
  • Destructive behaviours
  • Decreased appetite
  • etc.

Our team will assess the situation to determine the cause and propose an action plan to address it. Follow-up sessions may be needed, as each pet has a unique personality.
