Surgical Services

We prioritize your pet's comfort and care from surgery to recovery.

We offer general and orthopedic surgery services to meet your pet’s needs, including some complex emergency surgeries. With years of experience, our team provides thorough anesthetic monitoring before, during, and after any procedure, so you can entrust your pet to us with confidence.

What happens before an operation?

A veterinary examination will always be performed before an operation to ensure that no health issues will interfere with the surgery. Your pet’s vaccinations will be checked and must be up-to-date at least 7 to 10 days prior to surgery. A blood test will be conducted to ensure there are no undetectable diseases. We recommend an intravenous catheter before anesthesia to allow for quick medication administration in the event of a complication.

What are your recommendations after surgery?

Expect your pet to be tired and weak; rest should be encouraged, and exercise limited.

Monitor the amount of water and food, as too much may upset your pet’s stomach. Start with small amounts until your pet fully recovers.

To protect the stitches and wound, prevent your pet from licking or biting the area. A pet cone can be helpful. Check the wound area daily for any redness, swelling, or discharge. Contact us immediately if you notice any of these signs.
